I haven't messed with custom firmwares and homebrew and stuff in like years now... My friend has a 3.52 FW psp, the thick psp, and i dont remember what i have to do to put firmware on it..

Would i have to downgrade? Is there something safer i can do?

How exactly can i tell which TA- serial number his psp is so i can check if it's safe?

I've looked through the guides and other posts and i just feel stupid cuz i dont know what is what. Thanks for any help

Any phat(thick as you said) psp can have Custom Firmware, therefore Homebrew

No need to worry about the motherboard as you're on a very high firmware and you'll definitely need to get a Pandora's battery and magic memory stick

Here is a guide (http://www.blastprocessing.net/?page_id=20)
