Right.... something i kinda managed to do by accident, but its working ok now so i thought i'd stick this up...

(only tested on 2.5 firmware)

1) (if you havent already) Download and install Fanjita's eLoader

2) Create a Folder on the memstick /PSP/GAME/DGEN0.7/ and copy the 0.7 version of dgen into it.

3) Copy the folders from the dgen1.3 zip into /PSP/GAME/
put your roms (still zipped) anywhere you like

4) Boot GTA and run the eLoader, both versions should be available

5) Run 0.7, there should be nothing to do here, so quit back to the eLoader with L-R-Start

6) Run 1.3, load your roms and start playing!

--- some (minor) problems ---

The "input" page on 1.3 tends to freeze up and crash the PSP sometimes... avoid using it. In order to safely change your controller configs (for example, enabling the analogue stick) do the neccessary config updates on 0.7 and then copy the .CFG file from its folder into the 1.3 folder.

If the game running on 1.3 refuses to go back to the menu (L) use the L-R-Start method to go back to the eLoader and load 1.3 again.

have fun!! I'm *loving* sensible soccer! :D

found out today, this also works if you load PSpectrum first instead of dgen0.7.... which is great for me as it means one less emulator on the memory stick!

probably works loading some other homebrew beforehand too.... let us know which if you find this to be the case.

ok... new "discovery" - i'd been playing GTA a bit (for a change!) , and discovered that Dgen1.3 had stopped working.... it would load the menu screen, but have corrupt gfx then crash. having bought a new mem-stick i'd backed the old (32meg) one up, when dgen still worked. I've tried many combinations of savegame placements, but cannot fix the problem without going back to the old save game.

So if dgen is running fine right now, i suggest to anyone to backup your GTA saves - you might play it one day an dgen stop working (!) ... guess i'll be using the 32meg stick as a GTA savedisk for now then.

I don't know if this old or not but I just bumped into this thread looking for a solution for my problem. I would load up one game, then switch to another. The only problem was, after loading up that second game the L button wouldn't let me go back to the menu screen. So I just copied the config (w/o changing the controls) from 0.70 and put it in the 1.30 cfg folder like Hungry Horace said and now I can go back into the menu screen as many times as I want!

So basically, not only can you use 0.70's cfg to change controls, but it also lets you go back to the menu screen w/o having to press L+R+Start everytime. Sorry, if this old but this was REALLY bugging me before. Cool thread :)

First you need to go to fanjita.org and download the latest eloader since you have gta. It's called Bock or something like that. Anyway, it's easy to find once you go there.

If you have windows and a usb cable (or mem stick reader), you can choose to have it automatically installed so you won't have to manually place everything yourself.

Then go here (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/dgenpsp.shtml) and download DGEN v1.30 (1.5 file) and put it in the game folder of your memory stick.

Get some roms and throw them in the dgen folder as well and everything should be cool.
