Hi there, I've recently got a bottom half of a ds lite which has been snapped in half off my friend. He says he can't find the top part. Now I've never personally repaired a DS before, but I've repaired plenty of PSPs and know the drill. Also I've got all the necessary tools (inc. a triwing).

Here's a photo: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/th.352e2ee00f.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/352e2ee00f.jpg) (Click to enlarge)

My question is:
The actual bottom part of the DS looks undamaged ie the hinges are on and nothing is cracked. Would I be able to buy just a top half of a shell or would I have to buy the whole thing?

I realize that the other parts I'll need is the top screen, microphone and wifi board.

Is there anywhere you can actually buy just the bottom?

THX,
Matty

It may be cheaper to buy a new ds but I don't know much about that stuff just throwing it out there.

surely its just a case of getting a new Replacement case and maybe a lead or two, places like divineo and mr modchips sell the parts needed
