Help - Memory Stick Problems

Hi - new to PSP - just bought Jap 1.5 version off ebay for my husbands birthday. Came with Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 2Gb, already formatted according to seller, but PSP just keeps saying "There is no memory stick inserted". Have checked its inserted correctly and that the connections are clean etc, but still no joy. Any ideas?

Really want to make sure its working before his birthday.

Try formatting the memory stick yourself.....that might do it.

Sorry to tell you but its likely that 2gb MS could be a counterfit copy (may say made in japan but really made in china) i also bought a 2gb MS of Ebay not long ago which my PSP would not read with a little fiddling it fell apart at the seems.. :mad:
