well about time but back then it was a good deal but now not so much considering the fact the memory stick doesnt change the appereance of the psp and its tons of faster with no problems displaying videos on 1.5 psp and like i said back then it was a very good value now its not so much because the 2 gig card can be had for 90 something online and considering the problems with the datel ill go the stick route but if you just want it for homebrew alone then 150 for 4 gigs is still good i guess..

In all fairness I haven't had too many problems with my hdd. The stupid battery it came with was defective tho... Movies and games seem to work fine and making your legal ISOs still makes load times a LOT more bearable.

The only trouble I had with the hdd itself was I broke the cable on the adapter card (machines doing the soldering still isn't as good as people doing it manually). Anyway a couple of sodas to a micro/miniature repair tech to solder the cable back on the adapter... and it's as good as new :)

That's not saying I won't buy a 4gig card when it hits retailers... I'm gonna jump on it. Carrying the ultra II name makes it sound very promising.

This thing will be more unappealling after the 4gb sticks come out. If they drop the price even more, I'll consider buying one of these. I'll just give it a few months when the 4gb sticks dominate.

btw, I rather buy one of those neo 2 in 1 hard drives for less so the psp wont look so retarded with one big ass clump on one side.

I'd much prefer this:

Set to be released any time now for just a little over $200.00. Not bulky and better on battery life. Plus REAL fast. Some might say 4GB is overkill. But not me. I'd much prefer 8GB.

I have the 2GB Ultra II and it is extremely fast.

Isn't this really, really old news?

Or maybe it was only 2 gb before or something...

The HDD from Datel has slow Read/Write speeds on testing. Flash cards will always be faster, and SanDisk prove this too much. I too am going to buy The UltraII 4.0GB when it comes, as I could do with all the room in the world.

the datel thing is much faster than the memory stick and lighter aswell. i would definately buy this. also, it is much easier on battery life than the memory stick.

PMSL.... That's gotta be sarcasm voltron....

I owned the datel drive and x2 battery for a week, and sold it off as fast as I could. You all state it's great for homebrew, but hardly anything bloody loads from it!!! it overheats! it's slow! (70 seconds to load a 3meg ebook in bookr???? doesn't work with luaplayer and also makes emulators a tad slower????) well... I suppose mine could've been a one-off... but seriously guys. Don't buy one of these. They're beyond pointless. Wait for the 4gb memory stick.

I have 2 sony 2gb sticks at the moment, and I'm incredibly happy with them. I'll buy the 4gig sandisk of course, and I'm sure it'll pay off when pacmanfan releases pspsone. I have SOOOO many psx games to play.

i HATE perfection. perfection is imperfect, and thats just wrong.
i wont buy another memory stick until the 8 gig one comes. and recently a new psp battery was released with better life, and it wont make people think youre extremely happy to see them, as it fits inside the psp like a normal battery should do.
