genesis Emulation

Hell lads (and possibly lasses), I'm a big sega fan as most people on this site are. Well here my question- why has genesis emulation been discontinued? Sure the best one plays most roms at full speed. but it is rather visualy unapealing. has any one thought of updating it latly? I would but I have little knowledge of programing (visual basic is the best i know).

BlackAura, the guy behind GenesisPlus/DC is working on updating it. I hear progress is good, but slow. From what I hear, it'll have a nice intuative interface and great emulation. He's mentioned that he's not sure when he'll release it, but it will get released when it's how he wants it.
