Take a look at these mock up screens of the Sony PSP - Source (http://www.fotopolis.pl/index.php?n=4154)

Now it was for an april fool, but would this be cool integrating a Camera and PSP together and maybe throwing GPS into the bargain.

Any thoughts on this of does anyone have any better mock ups of what the PSP should look like.

Even if it is just a joke, the idea of a camera that plays games is interesting at best. Who would buy this? A psp with a camera atached would be alot better.

They got 'em on cell phones, it displays pictures, why not! Of course it would have to be a much smaller lens, but still a decent idea! PSP, the king of all media! :D

bullhead is quite right... they have deliberately made it so you see it and go "what the hell! i want a psp with a camera not vica-versa" - it's *meant* to look ugly... of course Sony wouldnt be so stupid as to even considering making something like this. :rolleyes:

to me it does,

I think that most people could really care less about a camra in the long run.
Think about it?

All those people that have web cams?

And how many people are useing them ?
I'll tell you how many.

Very few compared to the numbers of people that have them.
Think about it. If camras and video feeds of each person you spoke to on the net where so important. this would be a standerd feature on most all things portible communicationswise, But its simply not as importent a feature, as advertisments and media make it out to be,
Do you know why this is important to advertise for?! Well because its a media format, Sony and other video camra makes, make a fortune off selling this stuff. and people believe they need it, But how many people do you know, Thats like see my new Awsome camra! and about a week later it sits on a shelf to never be used again untill next holiday.

its human nature, isnt it ?
People are fine with a picture. But in the long run most people dont want to have to be in front of camras more then they have too.
Most people just want to be heard and not seen.
Think about it.
Video phones have been out for years and years.
How many people use them? Not many people.
And do you know why ?
Because nobody wants to have to have to get out of the shower and get dressed just to tell somone there not interested in changeing there long distance service.
Its just not as useful or handy a feature as people hoped it would be,
And as kewl as it is to have a camra, how many useses can you think of for this? NOOO NOT THAT ONE! :D lol
I mean any real uses for this ?

At least the viewfinder should point to rear mirror instead duplicating the main game screen. lol

A camera eh? The camera in these photos have got to be about 3 times the size of the normal psp. what if it were to be possible to create a camera that is slim as the psp only with the lense extending out instead. This april fools joke i think is better than the ds emulator with the touch screen. Sony wouldn't ever do this to the current staple of the portable gaming market.

Hey, rumor has it that the PSP will have a digital camera attached. I know, that was an April Fool's, but lets think about a removable camera in the top of the machine. Will be more confortable that just setting buttons, LCD screens and stuff on a Kodak or a Lomo :)
