You know this site PSP News and the DCEmu Network are my pride and joy and it really kills me when they are down for whatever reason. Today for a good 12 hours the sites were down, i tried but to no avail to force a reboot but the server wouldnt have it but finally Martin came through and did it for us.

We do try our best to make sure any downtime doesnt happen but no ones perfect and to our rivals, we aint going nowhere :D

Thanks for your time

Wragster You all need a backup server, perferably in 2 seprate locations, on two seprate ISP's.

And Sync them so that they update each other at night.

But its obvious that the servers are having problems handing the load.

What the specs on them any way?

Echoing everyone else, there is no competition. You are the only website homebrewers need!

I would have to say honestly, that you do have competition. I use this site more than any other forum for my downloads. But I would have to disagree with those saying there is no competition. Look at the rivalry between here and pspupdates. I steer clear of that site for my own reasons., but I think its better if you dont get drawn into a false sence of security that this is the best psp forum on the net. In my opinion though It most definately is!

Another expert, yay! ;)

The server has no problems handling the load, it's been working very well ever since the server upgrade and it's never crashed due to overload. We had one routing problem before but that's nothing we can do anything about. The crash was not load related this time either.

Server specs:
Running Debian 3.1 with Plesk 7.5 Reloaded Control Panel
(AMD Opteron 148 | 3072 MB RAM | 2 x 200 GB SATA HD in RAID 1 | 100Mbit/s)

Shut that mouth up!

you ARE going somewhere... you're gonna be the greatest game news network :D

I hope someday DCEmu becomes DCN(network)(yeah, a big network that covers all the consoles, games, homebrews, hacks, mods, etc. even the old ones), and it gets more prizes than the ones given by iBest and more visits than the greatest porn sites XD

(sorry if you took that as an offence at first or at all :P)

So which is it? Falsely the best or is the best? LOL! j/k

All I know is I can get all my news, homebrew, files, all from here and in a very timely fashion. I'M hard pressed to ever come online and not see another new news posting. I probably visit easily over 10 times a day.

Anyway I see no reson to bother monitoring all the other sites simply because this one has it all. Plus I can indulge a few other systems I like from time to time on the same network. :)
