Hello everyone! I came, after lurking for a while to ask you all experts something. I recently tried to burn a Gameshark for Dreamcast. But before I did, I tried to make sure it would work, on Chakast, which it did (mounted with daemontools). When I burned it (discjuggler format) I had a "May have some problems" sort of message. Soo I let it try to fix it. Burned fine, but then when I put it in the Dreamcast, it hummed very loudly and it didn't work. I tried to put in Utopia before it, but that didn't help and it wouldn't even boot!
So here is what happens when it tries:
Checking disc, fine
Dreamcast start, fine
Doesn't go into "SEGA" mode
just sits there struggling and then failing, going back into the "Main Menu".
Please try to help.. I don't have many more
CD-Rs...
How many versions of Gameshark are there? Are most of the versions PAL or NTSC, or useable both ways? If I have a different formatted one, how can I get it to be used?

OR

Is there a way to import a game save into a CD? If so which format, and what program?

THANK YOU

I think Gameshark is NTSC and Action Replay is the PAL alernative (or is it the other way round?), they are cheat discs but can be used to play import games via disc swap. There's a demo version of Action Replay for download here:

There's a tutorial where the download comes from here:

Check out this site for an excellent CD image with thousands of saves included, you'll find the tools available there too:

here's a tutorial for you to burn your CD images:

Thank you very much. I encountered a snag already  When I try to use the vmu save or dream on Chankast, it reads it as an audio file... even though the file is selfboot. It goes to play then goes to audio.

Also: Discjuggler says that there could be errors writing the Gameshark cdi. Is there a way to fix this?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, was the Gameshark ever made for being burned? It works fine until I burn it...

Simply don't allow DiscJuggler to "fix" it. They will break the CD images.

Thanks Fackue, it seemed to work more than before, but still doesn't really work.
This did something I have never seen before. It doesn't work on Dreamcast, but on Chankast, its a half screen. Very Odd.
