Sony Online Entertainment is looking for Field Commanders
Sony Online Entertainment would like to show its appreciation for the men and women of the armed forces that are actively serving in the US Armed Forces far away from their homes and loved ones. If you or someone you are close to is currently stationed out of the country and loves gaming, SOE would like to hear from you. Over the course of the next few weeks SOE will be taking nomination essays from active US Military and their loved ones in order to find 5 winners for Field Commander prize packages. Winners will receive 2 prize packages - one for the serving soldier and one for their family/friend at home. Using the online technology of the PSP™ PlayStation® Portable System and great mulitplayer options for Field Commander, winners should be able to play games against each other, no matter where they are in the world.
How to enter:
Send a quick essay (no more than 250 words) to [email protected] that details your nominee's current role in the Armed Forces, his or her gaming habits and tell us why he or she deserves to win. Winning essays will be displayed on the Winners page. Entries will be accepted from 4/10/06 through 5/10/06. Winners will be announced on or about May 20th (Armed Forces Day).
Prizes:
Up to 5 winners will be selected by SOE based on their essays. Winners will receive: a $500 Sony Style Gift Card, 2 copies of the soon to be released strategy game Field Commander, 2 copies of each of SOE's lineup of great PSP games (Untold Legends The Warriors Code, Untold Legends Brotherhood of the Blade, Frantix and Gripshift) and 2 Field Commander T-shirts.
