Ditto.

However Mega CD may be possible. Note snatcher was on several other consoles.

yeah CD would work, i mean if they can get Neo Geo CD to work, and the Famicom Disk System (i say because its an addon as well) then theres no reason the Sega CD wouldnt work.

wouldn't saturn be possible considering that sony is making a ps1 emulator and the ps1 was more powerful than the saturn?

note that its SONY thats making the emulator. They have the right tools to make a PS1 emu for the psp.

There isnt even a good saturn emu for the PC.

PSOne isn't more powerful then the Saturn and thats beside the point anyway. The Saturn is built really weirdly in the sense it has two Hitachi SuperH-2 7604 32-Bit RISC processors. Emulating it is a bitch on a PC is a bitch alone so running it on a PSP is out of the question.

also the you have the same problem with the mega cd, you have more processor to emulate...

the sega saturn is a pretty weird console it cannot really do reel 3d polygon.
it was all about distording quad. so it s pretty hard system to emulate...

it would i ve been so nice to have panzer dragoon to the psp :)...

Think of a Saturn emulator for the PC. Two should come to mind. Now check the the minimum requirements for them. They should far exceed the PSP hardware.

The Saturn was hard enough to develop on let alone emulate.

its was not that the saturn was hard to develop for but the playstation was easy, before the PS all the code was in asm, and continued that with the saturn, while the PS used C++. Also you have too mind that a lot more work as gone into emulating the PS because its was so popular. But i will say again, the saturn was powerfull when used properly, look at Quake.. in many ways it was better than the n64 version.

I hate Sega CD. Its a dumb idea; same type of games, better music. The only reason I have a PC emulator of it is because of Sonic CD, possibly the best sidescrolling Sonic game ever.

It was a good concept just poorly executed. Compact discs allowed for greater storage space, FMV video and much better sound quality. Thats a lot to work with. The abundence of adventure/text based games *shudders* and lack of popular franchises is what really killed it. Slow disc reading speeds and its high price didn't help the console either.

I would wager that by the time psp homebrew work stops there will have been a ported Saturn emulator and not a ported SegaCD emulator.

I have a question, could a Neo-Geo emulator be released for the PSP? I know the NG CD is emulated (and very well done,) but could the cardrigde NG be emulated or not because of ram restraints?
I do think the Sega CD could be emulated, but not that many good games were released for it so I don't see much of a point. Maybe a 32X emulator would be cool.

Id like a segacd emulator, it did have more than one good game. Once you actually look around for games for it, youll see theres quite a few goodies out there for it... 32x and sega cd for psp would be awesome!!

Sega CD is the only system that has real life video (FMV) games like

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-GroundZeroTexas.html

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-Fahrenheit.html

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-DraculaUnleashed.html

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-DoubleSwitch.html

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-CorpseKiller.html

http://www.eidolons-inn.net/segabase/CD-DraculaUnleashed.html

and many others

The psp would not be complete without fmv games, it has everything else. We definately need a sega cd emulator to make the psp a totally complete system.
