Okay, so I bought this (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25752) flashcart recently. It came with everything stated, cart, box, cable and so on. However, the box is in Chinese and doesn't give any useful instructions on how to use the cart at all. I've never used a GBA flash cart before and so I have no idea where to start, really.

What I'm asking is how I'm supposed to put ROMs on said cart. I know you have to connect the cable from the GBA to the printer port, and that you're supposed to use some software called LittleWriter to write ROMs to the cart. However, when I try to use the aforementioned software, it just says "Linker not found".

In any case, I'm pretty sure the cart DOES work, since when I play it on a GBA it loads a Japanese ROM of Fire Emblem. Since I think the cart was pre-owned, I'm guessing the last guy to use it must have gotten it to work.

According to the forums posts on DX, you don't use LittleWriter (that's only for a couple specific flash carts). Try the one at http://gggddfdgju.googlepages.com/home instead.

Ah, thanks!

Also, how do I go about removing files from the cart?

It's NOR-based, which means that there's no easy way to "delete" files like you can with NAND-based media (USB thumb drives, SD cards, etc). Instead, reflash the whole cart with everything except the file you don't want anymore. I'd make sure you have the saves backed up first, if that's at all possible with the software.
