NesterJ help please!!

Ok so im trying to use the GAMEGENIE cheating tool but I cant, I downloaded it and put it in my NES folder and tried to load a code but when I select gamegenie, it just goes back to the ROM list...help!?

Try this. make a new text file on the desktop.
then input the code followed by ten spaces and then the exact description of the game genie effect.
then put that text file in the game genie folder.

I think thats how it was explained.

anyone please feel free to correct me or tell me if this is correct.
