psx-psp game FF8 gets stuck in a cutscene. cant get passed it.

well ill elaborate some.
the game works fine everything.
but a few hours into the game and it freezes at the cut scene where Squall dances with the pretty asain women.
it keeps freezing at the EXACT same part!
and i cant skip ****ing cutscenes in FF8 so i cant get around it!
please! i dont wanna have to put 3 er 4 more hours to start over again. not to mention i dont think that would help.

i've tried to play it on epsxe but i cant take the savedata from the psp and use it in epsxe.
all i need to do is get passed this damn cut scene!

FF8 is just one of those games that doesn't work well with popstation. It gives everyone problems

Google for stuff like
ff8 dance psp
or
ff8 cutscene psp
etc. etc.
Lots of people with similar issues and lots of fixes.

if you have a PS3
you can transfer your save file to the PS3, play through the part you cant get past, then transfer it back to the PSP

(i had to do that for some of FF 7)

That forum/guide helped me to get it working well enough to play through :) to put it simply though, you need to use popsloader to emulate 3.9, then for major cutscenes 3.71/3.72, and keep switching. You also need to change the saveid to SLPS02180, and be careful of which converter to use (the multi-disc eboot mentioned in the guide isnt necessary, but its most stable)

Yeah, i know its a lot to do, but it will work then :/
