PS3 hits weekly sales record in Japan

This is the highest number of PS3 systems sold in a single week in Japan, ever. Its launch week (which was, admittedly, two days long) garnered totals of 88,000 units.

Oh, right -- Play Face (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/24/watch-japans-unsettling-ps3-slim-commercials/). The inspiring Play Face ad campaign is the only reasonable explanation for this sales boost.
