Is a modded wii Region Free?

I just finished modding my wii (3.4u), Installed the Homebrew Channel with Bannerbomb, also installed BootMii. Quick question, will my tatsunoko vs. capcom cross generation of heroes work since my wii is ntsc-usa and the game is ntsc-jap?

if so, is their the problem of my wii getting bricked?

If you have the Homebrew Channel installed, you can then use GeckoOS (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/GeckoOS) to play games from different regions. The newest version will only install the IOS that is used by that game, and as far as I know, IOS is not region specific.

If you do not want it to install anything to your console, you can try using GeckoOS 1.07b (http://wiird.l0nk.org/gos-hbc-dol.zip) to run the game.
