So, I had a buy at a Faceplate for my PSP, because my old one was scratched up alot so I decided on replacement.
There lies the dilemma.
Since the replacement I haven't been able to use my Analog Nub, because it thinks it's being held to move DOWNWARDS when STATIC, DOWNWARDS ALOT when held DOWN, DOWNWARDS Slowly when held up, down left - left, downright - right.
From squeezing here and there I've deduced it has something to do with the plate not being tight enough at the bottom left hand corner, letting the nub hang incredibly slightly loose.
And no matter how tight I screw the plate on, results draw ditto.

Any help is pleaded for.

redo the faceplate..

you can take apart the nub on the PHAT and see if it's out of place. there is a stick coming up from the bottom of the nub... make sure it's in the whole.. not outside the bars.

the problem is the screw holes by the nub (i had the same problem)

the 2 bits circled

i had to file them down so they were the same length as the original faceplate

measure the ones on your old faceplate
then file the ones on the new one down to that

take your time and get it right, cause if you take too much off, you need another new faceplate
just be careful

EDIT
dont just screw the screws in tighter
you might break things
