Lately most games require 5.55 OFW right, my question is, is there a way to emulate 5.55 OFW so that way I don't need to lose my homebrew?

Time Machine, Devhook, something?

if so, how?, I have no idea how those two work

Disgaea 2 Dark hero days needs 5.55 and I'm willing to install it only so I can play the game, although I rather not

There's a few games now coming out that need it.
Its another step in the never ending war against game piracy.
No doubt the cfw producers will come out with 5.55 and it will all start again.
I doubt you'll have to wait long.

i suggest trying it on 5.50 GEN-b ...you know just in case it DOES work CFW is a strange and mysterious thing sometimes
(if you havent already)

if it doesnt work
then i recommend you get a pandora battery and magic memory stick and update
and keep the pandora and MMS if you want to downdate

There are now a lot of games that require 5.55, and it's not just version check that can be bypassed with version txt, it actually requires the firmware.

Mostly because sony just noticed they haven't been using their firmware check.

And since there are no plans of releasing 6.00 M33 or GEN, I'm really stuck

and yeah I guess I'll upgrade my magic memory stick, it still has 3.71 M33

edit: just upgraded it to DC8, now I can go back to 5.00M33 whenever I want without that much hassle, think I'll backup my Nand as well, but later

damn I hate this, hope it wont be for long
