Pikmin keeps locking up

Hi all,

I have had Pikmin for about 3 months.

About a month ago, it started locking up on occasion. Now it locks up everytime.

Since I didn't finish the game, I decided to purchase a new one thinking the game was damaged (it had massive scratched on the back).

When I tried to play the new game, it froze almost immediately.

Any ideas why this would happen with only Pikmin and no other GC game?

i would guess you scratched up the first one, and the second one was a dud- get a refund

The first one might be due to the scratches. But the second one freezes as the exact same time as the first one. Doesn't that seem too coincidental?!?

BTW, I did take back the second game and got a refund.

Maybe you have a defective laser?

If I had a defective laser, would all my other games lock?

Pikmin is the only game (out of 7) that locks at all. I have no problems with the other 6 even though some have scratches too.
