We're big on 64-bit OSes, 'cause ours computers eat memory like this Obama eats children's dreams, but Microsoft's thinking about going 128 bit as soon as Windows 8, and most definitely by Windows 9.

This happens to be posted the day after I made the upgrade to 64-bit (XP x64). My luck. :P

Hah, well I hope Microsoft don't start thinking about announcing and rolling out Windows 8 too soon. With Windows 7 just around the corner, one really should wait for another 5 years until the next version comes in.

I have to say though, this it the first time I've heard about 128 bit computing. Is it here right now or still in the making?

Why, when so few machines are even pegging 64-bit limitations? Super computers maybe, but not on your everyday web surfing desktop. And Windows on a super computer/server is a joke in itself anyway.

Taking a page from old console marketing, who's going to be the first to the 1024 bit OS.
