Hey guys,

Simple question I haven't been able to find the answer to...

If I connect to my home network (which is connected to the internet), will my 1.5 firmware psp automatically update itself to the latest firmware? Or is it just new games that do the auto-update?

Any help much appreciated!

Best regards,

Chuck Norris

No your safe. You use homebrew web browser for the internet anyway.

Thanks for your reply. So if I use PimpStreamer around my house, my PSP wont just connect itself to sony.com and automatically download the latest firmare?

Thanks,

Chuck

no. and even if it could, you have to initialise the update. The psp cannot do it itself.

No need to worry. Plus due ti legal issues you would have to accept the agreement to update. But be careful with new games they might have a new agrement when you buy the game the psp will update itself. As of right now this is not true but it is one way they could do it. Don't be parinoid just be aware.
