Nethack DS and SD cards

I have dne some searching, and haven't found anyone reporting problems with nethack ds.

Am I right in thinking that nethack doesn't work with SD cards? Haven't seen this mentioned specifically anywhere, but have sen lots of posts discussing cf cards with nethack and none with sd cards, so I am guessing it doesn;t support sd cards.

IS this true? If so, are there any plans (if anyone knows) to make it run with sd cards?

Yeh, I know it's a tricky question, didn;t really expect anyone to be able to help, but worth a try.

I'm currently DS-less but my research on the matter seems to indicate that Nethack uses chishm's NDS FAT which is only compatble with a certain amount of readers.
