Well , for the past month iv been hooked on PSP Homebrew and found it fun and very amazing , but this isnt the psp forum , Last saturday i was at the flee market looking around on found a guy selling a Regular silver DS for 20.00 , i was kinda shaky at first cause i didnt know what the catch was or what was up with it , turns out the right piece of the screen that flips open ( the circular piece ) was broke so i bought it , and it works , now my first thought was to sell it , but then i thought maby its like the psp in running homebrew , sure enuff it is , but when i was shopping for the cards and readers and all kinds of stuff i got VERY confused , my question is how do i get started? what do i buy? what do i download? and of course what is cheapest?

Well the DS Homebrew stuff isn't cheap.

I recommend 3 things if you are looking for cheap but good quality.

That is a pretty good setup, but you could always switch the minisd adapter to the sd adapter. That's what I am getting, the SuperCard SD. Check it out here (http://www.realhotstuff.com/supercard-gbaspds-p-51.html)

I also bought the Max Media Launcher as Mazza recommended.

The best thing to do is find your favorite homebrew apps and make sure that they will work with your setup. If not, just choose a different medium. Sometimes, apps have problems saving to the SD, but it just depends on what apps you want.

Thats all we need. By the way i'm a huge fan of PSP homebrew and even created some myself. I would love to get my new DS lite to do homebrew.

Thanx. I think i'm all set. Got the most for my DS for the cheapest price. Now all i have to do is find a place in america or web site that i can buy it all from.

hey jman, the superkey works exactly like the max media launcher, and shipping from codejunkies (the only place you can buy the MML) is a killer, and it can take over a week to get. I suggest you check out my thread "what you need - cheap". That stuff is sold in a bundle so its cheaper shipping, and its all one package.

I have heard the the m3 works a bit better than the Supercard; it loads faster and roms run a lot faster as well (no slowdown or compatibility problems). Plus it natively emulates NES, GG, GB, SMS, and some others. Anyone try one out to see how it works?
