Hey there, I think this is in the right forum, I was just wondering if there are any guides to upgrade from 5.00 M33-6 to the current version of 5.50 GEN. I also have another question, I currently have a custom theme on there (Using the CXMB) the theme was designed for 5.00M33 would it still be compatible with 5.50 GEN?

Thanks!

I'd be interested to learn how to do this successfully too. Anyone?

I have just updated on my slim from OFW 3.80 to CFW 5.00 m33-6 using Recovery Flasher + ChickHEN...

From my understanding, you then...

Step 1: download and install 5.50 GEN-A [Full] onto your PSP and run the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Now it is time to update to 5.50 GEN-B and then update again to 5.50 GEN-B2. First you need to download the 5.50 GEN-B Update and install that onto your PSP, and run the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 13: Once you have updated to 5.50 GEN-B, you can now download 5.50 GEN-B2 Update and install it the same exact way you did for 5.50 GEN-B

NOTE: 5.50 GEN-B is the update to 5.50 GEN-A to fix some bugs, but some apps like Recovery Flasher v1.60 do not work on GEN-B so if you want, it is preferred you upgrade to 5.50 GEN-B2 because Recovery Flasher v1.60 now works 100%

and so on further with the cfw...

you may have already done all this?

i'm sorta sticking with 5.00m33-6 - i know that there may be issues including not been able to go on PSN (but i don't anyway), game compatibilities, etc. but happy to have cfw on it in the first place.

as for the question for theme - it should work. figure that the theme feature is something that works and isn't tinkered with... worrying about themes seem insignificant. i'd be more worried about the other features...
