I'll make this quick...
I'm in Cambodia working
Friend came over to see me and gave me a PSP (2.6 firmware) and Splinter Cell as a present
I can only get copied games in Cambodia so I had another friend grab hold of GTA when he came to see me
I've been trying various sites to get emulators that WORK but everything I download is a bloody nightmare to install (doesn't anyone attach Read Me files any more?)
I no you'll bitch about the next question...
where do I get all these Roms for all these Emulators you supply?
And is there anyway I can play my movies I backed up to DIVX on a PSP 2.6

What would be helpful would be if you just had different working software on different pages associated to the firmware they run on.

I know people are gonna bitch about noob and all that but I feel like chucking this PSP against the wall. I've finished both games and theres no simple tutorials as to how to load these games up.

I've tried MAME, SNES, GBC & N64 Emulators with the hope of playing some classic games until I can get back to England but I feel I'll have more entertainment selling this thing for 50 dolars and getting drunk for a night!!!

Desperate and bored.
:(

Yeah sorry I didn't mention that!!!
I got the GTA eloader working fine but I'm pulling my hair out with the rest
I have a laptop with also
Just want to know what works
The only thing I've got running is that mini Mario game which is pretty neat but It's not going to keep me occupied
I'm praying that a mod chip will be out here soon as everything is chipped it's insaine
but like I said I'd just be happy with some old skool stuff at the mo
Thanks

How about the DIVX player?
Or can I get a bit of software to convert my DVD's or DIVX files?

Where do I get the 1.0 eloader from?

what i mean by eboot is whenever you install a game or whatever use the 1.00/eloader file instead of the 1.50 thats kxploited if you get what im saying

and for the vids
http://www.pspvideo9.com/
it converts avi mpg wmv thats all i can think off plus it installs it on your psp for ya

Please don't cross post.

What Kramer meant by 1.0 eboot is that using the GTA eloader, always use the version of the emulator or homebrew that is for 1.0 firmware PSPs. Most homebrew is distrubuted for 1.5 firmware PSPs.

You need to use a tool like kxploit to 'unpatch' the eboot to 1.0 version.

I was about to come to your rescue but Kramer took care of it all. What a nice guy. And trust me you don't want to break or sell this thing. It's pretty sweet once you explore all the possibilities.

Thanks guy
Well I got the SNES emulator working a treat so I'm downloading bits for that one but I'm having trouble still with the mame one. Not to worry I have MAME on my laptop.

Is the N64 Emulator working on the PSP 2.6?

I'm having problems getting this to work also. I've downloaded the eloader that is linked here and the dgen emu. I have 2.6 firmware. Whenever I try and load the emu it says "corrupt file." Any suggestions gents, thank you.

Pratt when you unzip your Snes emulator you have to go a few folders in and only use version one. I dont have my psp on me at the mo so I dont remember the exact name but if you can type out the names of the folders once you've unzipped them and the folders inside them I can tell you which one you have to use!

i am having a similar situation. i have 2.6 firmware, gta, eloader. the eloader runs fine through GTA but, when i try to run snes9x the psp crashes. i've tried snes9xtyl 0.4.1, 0.4.2 and .3. the .3 version will run but at the start screen to select roms, i can't get to any parent directory to find a rom. i have the roms in the game/snes9x/roms/ folder. any suggestions?
