PMP Mod 2.01 Problem - Sound

I downloaded PMP Mod 2.01 (and the Xvid4PSP encoder), and am running it on 1.50 firmware. The videos (encoded in Xvid at 480 x 272 res) look great, but there's no sound. However, at the begininng of each video there's a quick 1-sec squeal that sounds like all the video's sound squashed into 1 second.

Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

I'm currently encoding a video in AVC to see if the same problem occurs with it.
