I know some of you are anxious to install the modchip into your PSP. But there are many out there who are curious to know if your PSP has the TA-082 board that currently doesnt support the Undiluted Platinum modchip. Well here is a simple way of finding out if your PSP is compatible.

- Simply open your UMD drive
- Take a close look at the top right corner of the inside of the UMD drive (back of PSP facing you)
- If it says "IC1003" in there, you have one of the TA-082 PSP's
- If it says "IC6001" in there, you have the TA-081 PSP's, so you dont have to worry.
- If it doesnt say anything in there, you dont have to worry and the UP chip is compatible.

Undiluted Platinum Team is aware of the problem and are working on rectifying the situation. Word has been going around that majority of the TA-082's are from Asia and the original firmware out from the box on the PSPs are 2.6
