I updated my psp to 2.7 and miss homebrew.I was gonna get a 2nd PSP but Im not givin in to $ony.Then I rememberd the GP2X.I need to know,can it play PSP homebrew(PSPool) and wifi homebrew(IRremote/wifi sniffer)?
what should I get?
PSP or GP2X?

im not to familar with the gp2x yaustar knows alot about it as i think he has one you should pm him and ask him

well i have a 2.6 psp and a 1.5 psp

if it were me since i am unfamilair with the gp2x i would try and get a 1.5 or 2.0 psp that way i will have full hombrew capabilitys

The GP2X cannot play PSP homebrew eboots (for obvious reasons [like it is a DIFFERENT CONSOLE]). Wifi is not standard and it has no IR port.

My personal opinion:
In short: GP2X > PSP
The GP2X to me has a more interesting community as it was designed for home development. I am currently programming for it, it has a good selection of homebrew and emulators and its only going to get better as time gets by. I believe the PSP has just hit a dead end, homebrew just doesn't seem to be progressing much (barring the N64 emulator).
