Philips should speak to the designer of this concept, Ivan Poupyrev (http://gizmodo.com/tag/ivanpoupyrev/), and work together on a new Aurea TV, combining it with their AmbiLight technology to add dimension to what you're watching.
Poupyrev's Lumen creation has sensors atop the pixels, which respond to human touch. It could even work for the blind, as connecting it to a TV would give a tactile sense of what's being screened.
