Found this news over at DC France (http://www.dc-france.com/) (excellent French Dreamcast Site) about a Dreamcast Modem Driver, heres whats posted on the Site (http://ev.dhs.org/dreamcast/) [br][br] This took a while, but I was finally able to access the modem. And if I can do it.. I'm just wondering why some of the more experienced Dreamcast people haven't done anything with it by now. [br]Click here to go to a mirror of this page. It contains hardware specific information for Conexant modem chips. [br]The Dreamcast's modem uses the chips marked RP56LD for the 56kbps version and RP336LD for the 33.6kbps version. [br][br]Also, here's the document for the MCU which is used for executing code loaded into SRAM. It's based on the Rockwell 6502 processor but with some modifications. [br][br]apparently theres source code on there too, i cant validate any info myself so its down to individuals to work out if its true etc.

this is just information saying that someone made a driver for the modem chip on a 6502. as far as i can tell, this seems to be someone saying they found info on a driver for the same modem but on an unrelated system and wondering why nobody has done it before, not actual dreamcast material.

It's Nick's Modem Driver.
He updated it just recently to v1.2. He's posted about it on the KOS list a couple of days ago.

Diggin throu the offical docs lists it as winmodem or software modem that is mostly why it's been so hard to get working or stat connected.

With nick's previous incarnations of the modem driver, I have written a bbs client and a dc/pc modem chat client. Bluecrab has gotten tcp/ip to connect over the modem, but he still is having some issues with it.

Will eventually check the new version out :)
