I recently purchased an AceKard2 for use with my son's NDS-lite. I've installed AKAIO v. 1.5 from http://www.acekard.com/download.php

So far it will run Moonshell (for AceKard) and assorted homebrew programs. I'd like to be able to put ROM backups of the games we already own (Advance Wars Dual Strike, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Instestinal Playground, Metroid Prime Hunter) and stick them on the card so I can store the originals somewhere safe (as opposed to the floor of his room).

I was under the impression that the AceKard would automatically do the DLDI thing for roms that have been dragged onto the card. I did manage to get one commercial rom briefly working but I'm not sure how. The card is FAT-formatted.

If someone could even tell me the key terms I should be googling it would be really helpful. Thanks.

Forgot: currently, if I drag a commercial rom on there, it just says "loading" forever. The AceKard makes a .sav file for the rom and something else, but that's it.

p.s. why are people so excited about using Moonshell and YStemp as their default shell?

The problem is with the firmware not being compatible for some reason with the newest batch

Right now in order to play games replace the firmware with
version 4.07a15
http://www.acekard.com/download.php

Note newer games after the release (Mario bowsers inside story, spirit tracks, gta ctw)
will not work but metroid and advanced wars will.
