View Full Version : Since 1.0 is faster, will developers start releasing for both 1.0 and 1.5 like befor?

In addition to allowing custom firmwares to be run so that future upgrades are unneccesary, I know that there is a speed boost for homebrew running on 1.0 PSPs.

I know that that 1.0 gives devs access to a lot more Ram, so would things like the N64 emu and GBA emu run faster or would they have to be coded to take advantage of it.

So will devs start releasing programs for both firmwares like they used to. Especially programs like Devhook, IRShell and PSPRadio.

Remember back when they used to have seperate releases for 1.0 users and 1.5 users?

I'm sure that will happen. I hope there is some program that converts 1.5 eboots to run on 1.0.

The [performence] speed boost doesn't happen unless you fully utilise the kernal access properly as a coder. It won't have any effect on any existing homebrew whether you are running 1.0, 1.5 or anything else.
