I've been trying to use Beup and NDSmail on my DSlite, but on both, it's stopped because it couldn't acquire a DHCP something...
It could be my router. I'm going to try it using a neighbor's router eventually and I'll post back...but any suggestions meanwhile?

yea that sounds like a router problem, have you tried unplugging it and leaving it unpulgged foir about 10 minutes? it will make sure everything is reset and then try again, becuase ive had that happen to me before

I don't think the problem is related to the router, though. I'm able to connect to the router just fine from other wireless devices (laptop, PSP, another PC) and even the DS during normal online play (on Mario Kart DS). But I'm having the same problem as nubbard. I can't get online using beup or any other homebrew on the DS that connects to the internet.

I'm using an M3sd, which I think might be related to the problem.

I'm having the same problem, i think it's something to do with configuring the ip address in the wifi connection or something

I thought it might be related to the WEP protection. Unfortunately, I have 3 PCs and 2 PSPs already setup for the network and I'm not interested in running an unprotected network, so I can't really test that. But I thought I heard somewhere that there was a problem with WEP in some homebrew.

I have the same problem, I use a Max Media Dock & a Max media player that goes into the ds slot. My router is fine and my router is unprotected & I still cant sign in on beup.

Found the solution :D

In a wifi game you need to go to the settings and enter the settings manually for your connection.

so you need to enter the wifi settings for your connection and select no for auto-obtain ip address.

Now to find this info if using XP

click start > run and type in

cmd /k ipconfig /all

and press enter.

You will need to enter the IP Address of the DS - this will be the same as the IP address shown by doing the above but change the last number to anything between 0 and 99, i used 5 so my ip entered is - xxx.xxx.x.5

the subnet mask is under the ip address in the command window

Gateway is under the subnet mask

Then the Primary and Secondary DNS should be just below.

I only have one so I entered the same for both and it worked fine.

Hope this helps, Mazza
