Hi there!
This is my first post and unfortunately is not for good reason.
My psp is probably bricked..
I have 1.50 firmware,
when it starts it freezes and cannot enter the XMB(when I insert a UMD with 1.5 or 1 it starts ok because it doesn't enter the XMB)
The reason is i think this file ''topmenu_plugin.rco'' , its from theme PSP creator Pack
It creates themes...so I had 12 images(BMP) and a font and flashed them with the program and every thing was ok.
The file that I said is responsible for naming the PSP icons(for example PHOTO SETTINGS change to PHOTO SETUP)
And I changed all of them and flashed, but after it was flashed(whole theme) and pressed exit the psp went off and when it starts now it freezes for a few seconds and then turns off
the psp at that time had the 2 lines of battery so the flashing did ok, I think...
i would apreciate Anybody's help..

I think the only way you can fix it is with the Undiluted Platinum modchip

thats right, I cannot upgrade...if I could update in the game that would be the solution but it can't...
maybe the aonly solution is the modchip(but I can't get it on..) or a new motherboard...:(

Big shot but try to look for a first release game for the psp normally you can find this at block busters or game stop and upgrade that way . If not is the modchip. But the game should only cost like 15 usd.

I cannot thats the unfortunate truth...the problem is 100% the file topmenu_plugin.rco , if I get rip of it and replace it with the default... or just upgrade... also the usb can not be activated(cause its in the XMB,but if the pc recognized the psp that should be fine but impossible)... :( :( :(

there may be a hope with custom firmware...but now I don't have something to put it in the memory card...lol
