If i buy a 2.1 firmware psp i can just upgrade it to a 2.6 and then downgrade it again, is this true. Also can a 2.1 have a TA-082 motherboard.
Thanks

Yeah, you can upgrade a 2.01 to 2.5 or 2.6 and then downgrade to 1.5, as far as the motherboard thing goes I'm not sure if there are any 2.01's with the incompatible hardware but you can just check for that code written inside the umd drive.

there's no 2.01's with ta-082 so you shouldn't worry about it. i had a 2.01. lol

ok thanks guys.
So there is nothing i have to worry about with the 2.01 All i have to do is upgrade it to 2.5/2.6 and then downgrade it. there is no kind of 2.01 that cant be downgraded is this correct

I would check to see if it has a TA-082 just to make sure, but you should be just fine.

it wont be, the only way it could be is if it was originaly a 2.6, downgraded to 1.5, upgraded to 2.1 .... just because it would have to be a 2.1 from the factory, or a 1.5 update
