Kernel mode is another option to run software under, on your PSP (somewhat like on Windows XP, your allowed to run under a User, (akin to User mode on PSP) and Admin, or debug mode (akin to Kernel mode)

but in short, Kernel mode allows for programs to use any and all resources and abilitys on the PSP (such as the Media Engine coprocessor, and the ability to run unsigned code

well, there was a Kernel access glitch found for 2.5-2.6 a few weeks ago, it is possible to use it, but it was only exploited to create the downgrader

yes the best is DGEN 1.60 but if your using 2.60 your better of with 1.50 dgen

Since the thread here http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=26396 only has links to the current release you need to click the guys name in the thread to go to his site and download a previous release that will work with your 2.6 PSP. However here is the link his name leads you to for ease. http://syn-k.sakura.ne.jp/dgen_psp/ Now just go there and download the 1.50 version of Dgen.
