ok heres the deal

ok my friend accidentally partially bricked his PSP using ThemePSP and i am trying to help him fix it so instead of telling him to buy a modchip i decided to look for someone who is willing to exchange PSPs and i found someone with a 1.50 PSP and he doesnt even know anything about homebrew and he agreed

so my question if i network upgrade to the latest firmware version will it fix my friends PSP?

It should work if you can get it to network update.

yeah he put a corrupt gameboot video. you can still manage through the XMB but you cant launch any games or UMD updates

X-flash v12 can be used to restore a bricked psp.

due to Dark_Alex's wicked firmware mod.

set ur psp to restore mode through that.

probably not able to install custom fimware if you cant launch it. I say go for the network update and then the trade

You cant update it though, because you wont be able to start the update. Even through Network Update, it still goes into the gameboot.
