weird triangle button problem

hey~ im having alittle problem, i have a psp fat, havent played it recently, but now that i do the triangle button press a random times. i dont think the problem is the pad or the buttons because when i took of the faceplate with the buttons it still did it...so now im sorta confused~ can anyone help me out??

There's gunk in the contacts.
Pull off the faceplate, and clean the contacts with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.

tried it...its still doing it...(just making sure the contacts are the green chip that sit under the rubber pads right?)

Yeah. The brass parts on the green board.
Clean off the black disk under the buttons, as well.

o.k~i opened it again, cleaned the buttons the rubber, and the contact(lol i learned a new word) it's still doing it! anything I'm forgetting?
