where do you put the games on the disk...

just currious... i cant find any info on disk structure for this program...

i imagine a games directory would be sufficient and regular dos commands to get there... but i cant test it till next week...

anyone got a disk working with a game or 2 on it...

thanks,
Chris

if i remember correctly how i did it, you just throw the roms onto the CD anywhere. and as for standard dos commands, it doesnt work like that, there is a Dreamcast specific menu to load the games (the menu was only made for around 30 though, so dont overload it by too much =P)

got any screenshots of the interface...

i am curious... can i just dump the game folders for 25-30 games in one folder... then 25-30 in another...

do you scroll through the game folder to find the executible...

thanks,
Chris

the menu was really simple and doesnt include directory shifting. Something I will definetly address for the next release.

so it will rule out games that use sub directories for now...

that still leaves a bunch to test...

i will post results of games i get to run on it... :D

thanks,
Chris

just so that you dont waste any time on it, the processor emulated is a 386, and it has preliminary support for vga but uses CGA in all the games it runs. for a better testing bed, you might be better off using the PC version (although it is slightly older) and if any games are found to work on it, then test them in the DC version. this should make testing easier ;)

only keyboard is supported iirc (but you need a controller for the menu on the DC).

it supports ems, but im not sure how well. i dont think it supports xms.

well... i hit a snag...

what program should i use to create the image for the cd... i tried bin2boot... and it wouldnt let me burn the image with either of my cd burners...

and i still havent managed to get self-boot inducer setup to make the disk yet either... because it requires an unscrambled bin...

thanks,
Chris
