Hey everyone it's been a long time since I logged in to the forums and at the risk of reviving old threads i have a question about firmware 1.5 the firmware currently installed on my psp. I know 1.5 is great for homebrew and roms but can it play the new psp games? I seem to remember something about newer psp games requiring the newer firmware. I'm mainly asking this because I can't find this information anymore and I've heard of ff7 crisis core coming out for psp. thx for any help you can give me.

Yeah you need to download dev hook, it allows you to emulate 2.71 without upgrading. So you can play newer games and keep your homebrew. Check the psp-news section for more info.

devhook allows u to emulate newer fws up to 2.71 so u can play newer games on 1.5 fw, look for devhook .45 thats the latest version
