i use Super converter v2010 build.37

my problem is that when i play the video (which works fine) the audio is too fast and is out of synch with the video. The audio is usually faster than the video and finishes before the video does

The settings (http://www.ds-xtra.com/MoonShell#SUPER) you have used look similar to the ones I use by default.

Most encoding problems (video/audio out of sync) can be fixed by making sure nothing else is running one the computer (make sure you have lots of free memory so your HDD is swapping all the time).

Also try encoding a different format, shorter video (use the built in encoder to grab a Youtube video (http://www.ds-xtra.com/MoonShell2#Convert_YouTube_Videos_to_DPG)).
