View Full Version : Downgraded 2.0 to 1.5, need to get back to 2.0 Please Help

Hi,

I recently downgraded from 2.0 to 1.5. I've lost access to my emulators and eloader. I've downloaded the 2.0 update eboot file, but there is no instruction on where to place it. I placed it the root mem.stick and got no results. If anyone can help guide me to update back to 2.0 I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

stay on 1.5!!just download the right homebrew for 1.5. eloader wiil not work(or be needed) you can select your progs from the xmb.but if you MUST upgrade create a folder UPDATE in the game folder with the update eboot in it.then just select it from the xmb.

Why would you upgrade. Homebrew does not run as well on 2.0 and there is more for 1.5

Don't upgrade man!!! many apps use kernal mode which is only available in 1.0 or 1.5, your files are there you just have to look around on your memory stick.Not to mention custom firmware.

If you need an higher firmware and are still on 1.50 why not using DevHook? upgrading is not the answer!!
By the way DevHook emulates a firmware so once you start it your psp will think "wow I'm a 2.71" but once you reboot it's back to 1.50; I said this because it's always better to have more options.

You can downgrade but dont know how to update... Well done mate well done... make a new folder in the game section of ur mem stick and call it UPDATE

Ur mem stick should look like this

X://PSP/GAME/UPDATE/

Place the 2.0 eboot in the update folder

Its Done! I'm back at 2.0 and satisfied. Thanx Void and Infernomax for your help. Got my emulators and roms back. Bare in mind I am newbie at this, but learning through the process.

Now, if anyone can give me some kernel mode apps to run my emulators, that work good on 1.5, i'll redowngrade.

Why did you want to update? Just like half the other people were saying, don't update.

Why did you upgrade???! 2.00 sucks. Everything that you have on your 2.00 can be played on 1.5 and more! You can run a lot of stuff on 1.5 that 2.00 can't run! And you can use devhook and get any firmware up to 2.71.

Now that i'm back, can someone guide me as i re-install 1.5 emulators (nester j, mame4allpsp, snestyl, rin, vbagba, etc) is there more too it than just inserting the emulator folder in PSP/GAME?

also, is it the folder w/ the % sign that I install in the psp?
2 questions I must know. Thank you.

Thank you, for you guys understanding. I'll be dropping by asking questions, like i said i am a newbie. Downgrade is done but i haven't been able to re-install any emulators w/ roms yet. (i'm at work) only was able to downgrade to 1.5 on my break.

Can you send a list of emulators which you are currently trying to install?

Everythings, up and running on my returned 1.5; all my emulators: nesterj, snes9x, cpsp1, pspgenesis, rin, mame4allpsp. I followed the emulator guide, followed the instructions and downloaded the psp sei tool. It was just a matter of placing both folders regular and % in psp/game. Everythings okay now!!
