I have heard a few rare reports of users bricking their PSPs using the eLoader, this only seems to occur when the battery is taken out though.

The eLoader is perfectly safe, just don't take the battery out. :)

I do it and i doesn damage my psp and I have it from over 6 Month.
And yes it is safe... but if you use a Homebrew that flash in your psp then there is a chance of briking. Like: 2.6 Gameboot, Flash-me, FontHack and others. But if you dont uses Flasher then you are 99.9% Safe !
