Looks like NJ is going to attempt a CPS2 emu.
There are a few picture links on the web page.

After looking at the funky translations it seems that there will be no sound....and the rest of it doesn't make much sense.

Anyone out there can do a fresh translation?

Man I hope he accomplishes this,Playing Alien Vs Predator on the PSP would be a dream.

Also hopefully Marvel Vs. Capcom works...because I never played it. *Dodges bullets*

He should still work on giving some of the Metal Slug games sound.

Well what do you know, he said he deffinately wasn't going to, but it looks like something's changed:
As somewhat of a check of the C68K encryption compatibility, I went ahead and tried out CPS2 on the PSP. Well, there's also the fact that I don't like people thinking that it couldn't be done without me even trying it (ha ha ha!). As far as the results go, exactly as I thought, it'd be pretty tough. I didn't feel like getting into it from the beginning exactly because of this.<del> As I've written over and over before, there won't be a CPS2 emulator for PSP from me.</del> (EDIT: This portion has been stricken out in the original-- b8a)

However, the situation's changed just a little. I'm currently exploring CPS2. I've been able to achieve 60fps by optimizing the C68K and the sprite management... Oh no, now what? (ha ha ha!) The sound doesn't play and the drawing skips all over the place, so I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. I'll explore this a bit further.

Games like these work more or less. There's not even close to enough memory, so it's a struggle. The processing speed is pushed to the limit, so if cache is used I don't know how playable it'll be.

I'll also try to process priority. This was just a half-arsed try, but might this actually work? It's something that I'd look forward to even more than CPS1. I kind of feel like this'll work just as long as I can solve the memory (it's so tough thanks to the XOR table, that's why there's less memory than neogeo) and raster effects problems...

It's deffinately going to be a struggle. Since the PSP's VRAM is lacking, there's plenty of places where the speed drops dramatically due to the textures being frequently rewritten. There's also times where it can't even secure enough memory to display the screen and screens end up getting missed.

He mentions AVSP and D&D Tower of Doom... how fookin good would it be to have these games on a handheld!

If anybody can do it, then its NJ! :)

With the possibility now of NJ doing things with CPS2, I reckon this thread should be in the news section?

I'd love to see 1944, Pocket fighter and and X-Men Children of the Atom on the psp (with or without sound).

This is gonna be HUGE if NJ cracks it. :)

Best of luck to NJ. :)

The CPS1 was great so i have high expectations for this one too.

Also, no sound?. That would ruin any emu for me, persoanlly.
