DCStuff has created and released an SBI of Ice88's build of BlackAura's GenPlus port. You can download that SBI from DCStuff's SBI Page (http://www.sesonsite.com/Ten-321/DCStuff/SBI.shtml).[br]If you get a chance to test this SBI before we do, please report your findings by commenting on this newspost or replying to this topic. Once the SBI has been tested and verified, it will be moved to Sbiffy!com (http://www.sbiffy.com/).

I've done it again *;D ;D ;D

I've tried the emulator in Chankast 0.2a ....

Speed is not 100% (P4 2.4, 1Gb DDR333, GF4 Ti4400 128Mb) and sound is not good but i've tested in another emu *;) so i don't know if this will be exactly on a real Dreamcast

I wonder why Chankast does that. It seems to draw all the sprites, miss some tiles from background layer A, and not draw background layer B at all...

You know - sometimes it's really nice that Coranto posts the news directly in the forums, but other times it can be kind of a pain. Right now, I think we have four different topics dealing with the new releases of GenPlus.

Anyway - back on topic. Thanks for the screenshot Talfi.
It is a little weird that Chanka does that. I figured if anyone would have an answer, it would be you BA. You know a lot more about this emulation business than I do, so I figured there was probably some logical explanation for it.

Well, as far as I can tell, it seems to be dropping parts of the display list. The sprites (which are drawn first) seem fine. Background layer A is mostly there, and that's drawn second. Background layer B is pretty much all missing, and that's drawn last.

Ah - so it draws from front to back. I wonder if Chanka is set up somehow to skip some drawing phases in order to catch up on speed (instead of frameskipping) or something.

Now we got the Chanka problem again :)

It's like checking your MegaDrive/Genesis homebrewn game with Genecyst ;D
