ookey dokey. so about a month ago, my brother (stupidly) bought one of those ripoff hong kong pokemon games for 15 bucks (its heartgold) and gave it to me. it pretty much works exactly as the unpatched rom does- random freezing and blackscreens with music etc etc etc. i am ASSUMING that its some sort of fancy looking flash cart. but ive never messed with flashcarts before, which brings me to my questions:
would it be at all possible to extract the rom from the fake!gamecartridge to my computer to patch it, and then put it back on the cartridge? would i need to open it up and check to see if theres a microsd card inside? (would opening the fake!cartridge kill it? O_O) if theres not a microsd card inside, would there be any other way to patch it? (i mean those hong kongians got it in there somehow..)
