although that emulator is quite old, some of it's features aren't covered by it's build in help, or hardly on any webpage. some are useful, some are essential. so why not collect all of these?

i'll make the start:

* many people don't seem to read the online help, so i'm gonna point it out again. hold the analog stick up or down in a game to activate "select"

* press left for more than three seconds on the analog stick or esc on the keyboard to get back to the main menu

* press right for more than three seconds on the analog stick to reach an ingame menu. there you can choose between the following options:

exit to menu
speedometer
reset cartridge
next game
previous game
quit dreamsnes

* press S3 on the keyboard to (de)activate the speedometer

* press strg+alt+del on the keyboard to end dreamsnes

* press the X-button on the controller when you are in the configure menu to reach "stensson's surprise menu". it contains the following options:

maple bus scan (scans the bus of your dc and reports back which devices are connected)
missile command (if you don't know what that is, then you're definately no video game player :P)
qix (an old style arcade game)

that's it for now. following stuff would be interesting to know:

* other possible keyboard commands

* is it possible to manually change frameskip?

* is it possible to softpatch roms with ips-files (translation and/or graphic hacks)? snes9x supports it, so basically dreamsnes should do it, too. can anyone confirm that?
