Following its official launch in the US last week, the first concrete details about OnLive’s pricing model are now available.
Eurogamer reports that most titles are available to rent for three or five days or can be purchased on an ‘unlimited pass’ basis – though the service is only able to guarantee access to purchased titles until June 17th 2013.
Note, too, that any purchased games are only accessible for as long as the user remains subscribed to OnLive – yes, as well as buying the games a monthly subscription is also payable, though for the time being free one-year memberships are being handed out to users.
The cheapest titles on offer include Brain Challenge, which can be purchased for $4.99, and AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!, which costs $9.99.
The likes of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Unreal Tournament III and World of Goo can be rented for three days at $4.99 or five days at $6.99.

However, more recent titles cost considerably more. Assassin’s Creed II, Just Cause 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction cost $39.99, $49.99 and an eye-watering $59.99 resopectively. And remember – access to thse games remains yours for only as long as you subscribe to OnLive (and for as long as your internet connection holds out).
OnLive is due for rollout in the UK some time next year.
