Paradox Interactive today announced its product line-up for this year’s Gamescom trade fair taking place in Cologne, Germany along with details of its press conference. Paradox will be present at the show between August 18th and 20th with their press conference taking place on August 19th,and they will be located for the duration of the show in Hall 04.1 at their Business Booth F032.

The titles on show are Magicka, Lionheart: Kings’ Crusade, Sword of the Stars II and Pride of Nations, with the respective development teams on hand to demo each game. There will also be as yet unannounced titles which will be unveiled at a press conference taking place at Hotel Cristall on Thursday 19th August at 9am. Along with exciting new product reveals the press conference will also be an opportunity for Paradox to reveal its future plans as a company. An informal brunch will immediately follow the press conference allowing attendees to chat to Fred Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive, Johan Andersson, Lead Producer, along with other Studio Heads.

About the confirmed titles at Gamescom 2010:

Lionheart: Kings' Crusade
Battle to re-conquer or defend the Holy Land with the upcoming Neocore Games release of Lionheart: Kings’ Crusade. Reliving the era of the Third Crusade, this real-time strategy game is scheduled for release September 17th.

Magicka
A humorous action-adventure title based on Norse mythology, Magicka will transport players into a fantasy environment where four brave souls will be called upon to take on..well, you know the deal. Being developed by Arrowhead Game Studios Magicka will offer players millions of spellcasting combinations in a parody and satire of a clichéd fantasy world and is set to be released when it’s done!

Sword of the Stars II
A major step forward in the SotS approach to 4X gameplay, taking the easy-to-learn-hard-to-master philosophy set out in SotS1, Sword of the Stars II will follow that path and set a new standard in space strategy games. Developed by Kerberos Productions, Sword of the Stars II is scheduled for release in 2011.

Pride of Nations
Pride of Nations is a historical strategy game featuring a simultaneous turn-based engine, putting players at the head of the world’s Great Powers between 1850 and 1920. Eight nations are playable in single-player and multiplayer – USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Japan, Russia, Austria-Hungary and Italy. Pride of Nations is developed by AGEOD set for release 2011.
