Hi everyone!

I'm new here but I have loads of consoles and am into emulation.

I was just wondering, is there a way of playing Master System games on the Dreamcast?

Thank you very much for your help Darksaviour69, I appreciate it!

Is there a step by step tutorial on getting Master System games to run on the Dreamcast? If so, how easy is it to follow?

Err... that tutorial doesn't link to the latest version 1.0.1a (http://consolevision.com/members/dchelp/?My_Projects:BootDreams).

It does, ...well kinda... :

;)

I will have a look into updating all these tutorials when I got some time.

Btw, I noticed that the later versions of BootDreams do not dummy your CDRs properly. The file they create is 1KB big.... :(

So you download the Master System emulator and Boot Dreams? What does boot dreams allow you to do?

The problem with the latest version of SMS Plus (If that's what you're using), is that it won't save your emulator settings to your VMU. You have to change them everytime you boot up the emulator (I really hate having to adjust the screen everytime....) :mad:

Boot dreams will make the cd image for you and you can even burn the cd with it...(i really should try it out for myself, i have't burned any homebrew in a while)

BootDreams is soo damn great. I never got CDRecord to work before, but when burning discs with BootDreams it works perfectly now :)

Really the best burning tool one could wish for. All that it's missing would be SBI support ^^

@Fackue: I will try the auto-dummying again with v1.01a (wasn't sure if I tried with v1.01 or v1.01a)

I tried BootDreams with CDRecord once, and it honestly fouled up pretty badly, as did its CDI recording. I used v1.00 though.
